thefilmjunkie: A gif comparison of Back To The Future, before and after Eric Stoltz was replaced by Michael J Fox. The first is the version that was released starring Michael J Fox as Marty McFly. The second, is the original which was shot, starring Eric Stoltz as Marty.  When Zemeckis felt they weren’t getting what they wanted (a more comical Marty) out of Stoltz they had already shot 5 weeks worth of film; somehow managing to convince the studio to let them reshoot all of that with Michael J Fox instead. Everyone was very upset to see Stoltz leave the production. Back to the Future grossed $350,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 worldwide a year after it’s release. They certainly got lucky. Things in bold should be true.
